Gems on Trend

The Nude look

2010 is set to be an exciting year in the world of fashion. On the Catwalks for spring/summer there’s an abundance of bold new trends that will fuel your imagination. And with our help, you’ll be able to accessorise them all in style!
The first trend we’re accessorising this week is Nude. Set to be one of the biggest looks this season,  we’ll be seeing lots of beautiful soft colour palettes featuring shades of buff, peach, blush and taupe.  This colourway will run right across the board resulting in anything and everything from figure hugging dresses to stacked heels.
Not feeling too adventurous? Don’t worry you’re not alone, none of us want to look like we forgot to get dressed in the morning! So if you are a little on the cautious side we recommend adding just a hint of nude as opposed to massive colour blocks.
The Nude look is like a blank canvas, giving all you jewellery junkies the perfect excuse to go overboard this season! Create maximum impact with some fierce statement pieces for an uber hot look.
Bib style necklaces are a girl’s best friend this season. This chic French Connection necklace is the perfect accessory to compliment this look. Wear over a taupe coloured top for a dramatic entrance.
If big earrings are more your thing then you’re in for a treat!  We just love these fabulous Hultquist silver hooped beauties. The heavenly charm style crowns scream vintage chic, wear them with blush coloured ruffled lace to complete the look.

PANDORA Care Guide

"We recommend that you take good care of your PANDORA jewellery to ensure that it lasts a lifetime"

Cleaning Silver Bracelets

To maintain a beautiful shine we suggest cleaning your PANDORA bracelet with a silver cleaning cloth. Never use a harsh or abrasive cleaning product OR silver polish. If your bracelet is particularly dirty, try soaking it in some warm soapy water first or use a toothbrush (avoiding the oxidised logo on the clasp). Perfumes, body moisturisers and chlorine will all tarnish your bracelet.

Cleaning Oxidised Bracelets

Oxidised bracelets are a different story. This type of finish will gradually fade naturally. You should NEVER use silver polish or harsh abrasive cleaning products. Any perfumes or body moisturisers you use will fade the bracelet along with sweat and chlorine. ANY method of cleaning will remove oxidisation and will void the warranty.

Cleaning Gold Bracelets

When cleaning a 14k gold PANDORA bracelet a gold cleaning cloth will suffice. Again, be gentle avoiding the use of harsh cleaning solutions.  Perfumes, body moisturisers and chlorine will all tarnish your bracelet

Useful Tips

·         If in doubt only use a simple cleaning cloth to buff up the metal or to clean the bracelet.

·         Remove your PANDORA bracelet before going to work, to avoid exposure to chemical elements or damage.

·         Never ever spray perfume/body spray onto silver, it will tarnish it.

·         Beads with pearls or hanging charms are more easily damaged.

·         If you stick to these guidelines, your PANDORA warranty will not be affected.

Cleaning Beads

As with the bracelets, you should only clean your PANDORA beads with a silver/gold or polishing cloth. Avoid harsh abrasive substances and do not soak the beads. Only use a toothbrush very lightly if there is no oxidisation.

Cleaning Leather bracelets

Before wearing your leather bracelet PANDORA advise you to soften it first, to avoid it becoming brittle. You can do this by using leather polish or an unperfumed moisturiser. When cleaning PANDORA leather bracelets only use a gentle cleaning cloth. Do not use any cleaning products. You may however clean the silver clasps with a silver cleaning cloth.

Something to consider

PANDORA recommends you should have your bracelet checked over at least once a year to keep it all lovely and new. Something we would be happy to help you with.

Customer Comment : Can the Pandora leather bracelet be worn when washing up etc? Just wondering if it can withstand water and day to day domestic life! Our Response:Thank you for your comment, we would suggest avoiding getting the leather wet, so that it does not spoil. However it is your choice if you should wish to do so. But this could void the warrenty. Hope this helps :)

It's Show Time!

Excited at the prospect of shiny pretty things, we braved the ice and snow and made our way to Birmingham for the spring ‘Jewellery Show’.

With
huge halls filled to the brim with eye catching jewels there was a distinct buzz in the air. Amidst all the hustle and bustle, we spent the day happily hunting down our favourite suppliers, whilst discovering some hot new brands along the way...
Pandora’s stand looked stunning and was filled with gorgeous new beads, much to our delight. We did however, eventually manage to tear ourselves away... and venture to the ‘Pandora Catwalk Cafe’. Filled with plush white pouffes and scatter rugs, the theme was luxury. And whilst images of decadent jewels were projected onto giant backdrops, Pandora was the first to show.
Dressed in striking leotards - in this seasons hottest colour; nude - layered with sequined jackets the lucky girls were adorned from head to toe in Pandora. The look was bold and the jewellery stacked. Other jewellery designers followed suit and we simply loved Coeur De Lion’s gigantic Swarovski crystal necklaces. Huge collar bibs, chunky resin bangles - worn up to the elbow - and elaborate masculine watches stole the show.
Fierce trends we’ll be seeing in 2010 will be all things stacked; big and bold being the key look. The charm bracelet is going nowhere, set to be really hot this season, it’s being worn layered on leather and stacked for an ultra chic look.
Next week we’ll be bringing you our first fashion update where we’ll be helping you to accessorise the latest styles.

Customer Comment : My sister bought me a pandora bracelet for my birthday and i love it!! Im getting her one for her birthday in April as they are such nice gifts. You can get charms that are very personal to everyone and i think that is lovely (I got my friend an elephant charm as we often talk about baby elephants!!) I think it would be amazing if there were Michael Jackson  tribute charms as it is lovely gesture to the legend. I know that I would definatly pay extra for a Michael Jackson charm. I just thought Id let you know how awsome Pandora is and put my 10 pence worth in!!

Our response:
Hiya, it's great to hear from you. You never know Pandora may make a Michael Jackson charm one day, it would be a fab idea!
